Installing this all-metal Bowden extruder was straightforward enough, and I immediately noticed the difference once I started running some test prints. The dual-drive gearing is fantastic; it grips the 1.75mm filament so securely that I haven't experienced any noticeable slipping, even when pushing the print speed higher than before. This enhanced grip is clearly one of the main advantages of this setup compared to cheaper alternatives.
Furthermore, the all-metal construction gives me confidence in its long-term durability, especially when printing materials that require higher temperatures near the drive gears.
What I particularly appreciate about this product is how smoothly it feeds filament without requiring excessive force, which I believe contributes to better print quality overall. It really shines when dealing with flexible filaments, which used to cause my old extruder issues; this device handles them without complaint. Since I installed it, the consistency has been top-notch.
Interestingly, since there weren't many existing reviews for me to check before buying, I was a bit nervous, but the performance of this KINGROON dual drive extruder has been surprisingly excellent, easily matching or exceeding expectations.
If you are running an Ender 3 or CR10 and are struggling with inconsistent extrusion, especially with flexible or harder-to-feed filaments, this is an upgrade I would strongly recommend making. It transforms the reliability of the feeding system for a relatively minor investment.
Seriously, ditch that flimsy stock extruder and grab the KINGROON dual drive system; your prints will thank you for the reliability this component brings.
